中国轻工业出版社有限公司(以下简称“轻工出版社”)成立于1954年10月。被原国家新闻出版总署评为国家一级出版社、全国百佳图书出版单位,被原国家新闻出版广电总局评为全国首批数字出版转型示范单位。多年来,轻工出版社秉承着“立足科技,专注生活”的出版理念,为我国的出版事业奉献了一大批特色鲜明的图书、期刊、音像制品及网络电子出版物,深受广大读者喜爱,得到业内普遍认可和好评。年出版图书1500余种,书刊码洋近4亿元。

轻工出版社多次荣获“‘五个一’工程奖”“中国出版政府奖”“中华优秀出版物奖”“中国好书”“‘三个一百’原创图书出版工程”等奖项,图书获奖400多项;期刊获奖300多项;音像电子产品以及出版单位和优秀人物等获奖多项。还完成了数十项国家重点出版规划项目的出版工作,有数十种重点项目获得国家出版基金、国家科学技术学术著作出版基金、经典中国国际出版工程、“原动力”中国原创动漫出版扶持计划等国家级专项资助。承担了数百种国家和省部级规划教材的编辑出版工作。根据《中国图书海外馆藏影响力报告》披露的数据显示,轻工出版社连续8年入选出版100强。

期刊出版是轻工出版社的又一大特色。《瑞丽》以“设计美丽,设计生活”为传播主旨,深刻影响着当今中国的都市潮流风尚。经过20多年的发展,由《瑞丽》《瑞丽伊人风尚》《瑞丽时尚先锋》《瑞丽家居设计》《男人风尚》等优势期刊组成了“瑞丽”品牌期刊群。在“媒体整合,品牌延伸”的战略指导下,“瑞丽”已成为以高档期刊出版为核心,同时发展网络、无线移动等多种媒体,兼营广告、发行、整合营销、模特经纪、红人经济等多项业务的立体化企业。轻工出版社的《国企管理》《创新世界周刊》等杂志则开辟了办刊新领域。

作为国家第一批享有网络出版权的50家出版社之一,轻工出版社数字出版、新媒体业务持续快速增长,转型升级步伐不断加快。多个多媒体互动平台项目得到国家资助。轻工出版社官网、瑞丽网连续多年荣膺全国新闻出版业网站百强。

积极开展对外合作,是轻工出版社多年来始终坚持的发展战略之一。通过广泛地开展版权贸易,先后与美国、德国、英国、韩国、日本、新加坡、越南、泰国、西班牙、土耳其等国家的大型出版集团及中国台湾地区、香港特别行政区的出版商建立了长期、友好、稳定的合作关系。近几年坚定文化自信,注重“走出去”,在国际范围内弘扬了我国的优秀文化。

China Light Industry Press Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CHLIP) was established on October 1954. It was rated as the national first class press, “National Top-Hundred Publishers” by former General Administration of Press and Publication and “the Model unit of the first national digital publishing transformation” by former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.

Advocating the idea of “Based on science and focus on life”, CHLIP has produced a large number of books, journals, audio-visual products and electronic publications with distinctive characteristics, which are deeply loved by the reading public and widely recognized and praised by the industry.Now, CHLIP publishes more than 1500 books annually with printing price of nearly 400 million yuan.

CHLIP received “the Best Works Award”, “The Chinese Government Award for Publishing”, “The Chinese Outstanding Publication Award” and “ "A Hundred Patriotic Films/Songs/Books" etc. for several times. In addition, there are nearly 400 awards for books, over 300 awards for periodical and numerous awards for audiovisual products and electronic publications, advanced unit and excellent people. It also completed dozens of the National Important Books projects and some of them won national funds such as the National Publishing Fund, National Fund for Academic works Publishing of Science and Technology (NFAPST), the Classic China International Publishing Project, and "Driving Force" China original animation publishing support plan. CHLIP is undertaking the editing and publishing of several hundreds of national, provincial and ministerial planning textbooks. According to Report on Overseas Library Collections of well-known books from China, CHLIP has been selected into the top 100 presses for eight consecutive years.

Journal publishing is another important sector of CHLIP. Rayli has a profound impact on contemporary Chinese urban fashion for its concepts of “designing life and beauty”. With 21 years of development, Rayli, Rayli Fashion and Beauty, Rayli Beauty Style, Rayli Home Design, Leon and other magazines constituted a branding periodical group. Under the strategic guidance of “media integration and brand extension”, Rayli brand has already become a three-dimensional enterprise which takes high-end periodical publishing as core business, develops network, book publishing, wireless mobile media and other media, also develops advertising, issuing, integrated marketing and model agency. China State-owned Enterprise Management and Innovation World Weekly published by CHLIP have broken the new ground.

CHLIP, as one of the first 50 presses with the rights of online publication, achieved continuously rapid growth of digital publishing and new media, the pace of transformation and upgrading has also been accelerating. Many multi-media interactive platform projects are nationally funded . Actively carrying out exchanges and cooperations with foreign counterparts is one of CHLIP’s strategies to achieve brand effect. To strengthen the international cooperation and exchanges, CHLIP develops the copyrights trade all over the world and has established long-term, friendly and stable relationships with large publishing groups from USA, Germany, Britain, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Spain, Turkey and publishers in Taiwan and Hong Kong SAR. In recent years, we have strengthened cultural confidence and carried forward China's traditional culture to international market.
